Crochet Striped Wrist Cuffs

These black and blue crochet wrist cuffs keep your hands warm while leaving your fingers free.









You will need:

Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Black (A) and Turquoise (B)
I-9 (5.5mm) Crochet Hook
Scissors
Yarn Needle

Gauge:

4 rows = 1" and 5 sts = 1".

Base

With A, ch 20.
Row 1: Sc in second ch and each ch until end of row; turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st until end of row; turn.
Row 3-4: Repeat row 2. At the end of row 4, fasten off and switch to B.
Row 5-8: Repeat row 2. At the end of row 8, fasten off and switch to A.
Continue to repeat row 2 and switch colors every fourth row until you have 32 rows. Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Bottom Edging

Join A to one side of the base. Sc in each st until end of length; turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc into each st until end of row. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Top Edging

Join A to the other side of the base. Sc in each st until end of length; turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc into each st until end of row. Do not fasten off.

Finishing Off

Fold the wrong sides together and hold so the black stripe on the edge is facing up. Use the yarn from the top edging. *insert hook through both edges, yarn over, pull through both, yarn over, pull through both loops* five times along the edge's sts, 5 sl sts along black stripe only (thumbhole), * along the rest of the edge until end of row. Fasten off and weave in ends. Turn cuff inside out.

Repeat to make the second cuff.
